From waterfalls in Cecilia Forest to ocean views at Kommetjie and the pensioner-friendly paths of Kirstenbosch, they’ve shared their top 5 favourite routes (with handy tips and gorgeous photos).

At 60, many people assume they should be slowing down – but that’s when Prakash Harripersadh laced up his boots and started climbing mountains. 🏔️ Now 20 years later, this inspiring 80-year-old grandfather from Durban has already tackled some of the world’s toughest peaks, including Everest Base Camp, Mount Elbrus in Russia, Aconcagua in South America, and even Kilimanjaro once before. To celebrate his 80th birthday, he set his sights on climbing Kilimanjaro again – proving that it’s never too late to chase big dreams and reach new heights. Read the full article.
